Tyra is a calming presence, led a wonderful sequence of poses, and focused on inner work as well as physical work.
In this season of my life, I’m focusing on discipline, showing up for myself whether I wanted to or not. I started this class at four months post partum and had not consistently practiced yoga for a decade. This class brought so much joy to my weekly schedule as I was able to reconnect with a favorite hobby, prioritize moving my body, and practice discipline when I did not feel like waking up at 5am to make it to class - but doing it anyways. The pacing was exactly what I had hoped for and needed. It allowed me to redevelop strength and balance, building on my skills week to week. I will definitely be signing up again!
I really enjoyed connecting with nature while doing my yoga practice outside. Tyra did a great job setting an intention, inspiring us with a reading and explaining the flow in an easy to follow way.
Every so often I find another gem in Wauwatosa, something new that really makes this community very special. Most recently for me, the gem has been Tyra's yoga class at Tosa PT and Wellness. A restorative, mellow flow class (with a really nice balance of mindful breath, stretching and strengthening), it is welcome to all levels. Meet for the yoga, and stay for the community!

I have known for years that "I need to do yoga". Tyra's class is all about each individual, encouraging us to challenge ourselves while listening to and honoring our bodies. Tyra is so specific in her instructions that I don't have to keep looking at what she's doing and can concentrate on what I am doing. I have already witnessed improvements in mobility, balance and strength.
I really like the good intentions and gratitude given at the beginning and end of the class. Your class has helped me stretch my body and calm down mentally.
This class has taught me to slow down and take in the world. Appreciate the way you guide us into options and to do what is best for our body.
